WHAT REALLY grinds my gears, is when those fat american SUV drivers slow down and gently roll over those 10' speedbumps because their precious asses don't want to get bumped.
Jesus.... you're in a fucking 4x4 tank.... If I were shallow enough to drive one, I'd be launching over those specially built bumps daily!

^That can hurt the suspension maybe? I've heard that truck suspension can break into pieces driving over potholes.
My car is stupid low and I have no problems scraping. Then again I have my 2.25" exhaust. lol. I remember scraping my 3" once on my old set up though. Didn't make me happy.

What makes a person shallow because they drive an SUV? I just got a cherokee 4x4 and love it. It looks like a grocery wagon but as I said I hit speed bumps full on with the thing. I jump curbs or anything else in my way a normal car cant over. I plan to really romp on it on desert trails and all that.
I normally tackle speed bumps one wheel at a time, and if you get just the right momentum going you can JUST roll up to the top of them and then control with the brake back down the other side. (Idling in 1st is still too fast)
I try to live in places without speed bumps, and formulate routes through parking lots to avoid them.

I love just not caring about anything with this Jeep. If something is in my way....drive over it...or find a path around it. Curbs, speedbumps, medians...etc.

Its a great experience really, Ive only ever had the really low supra and various motorcycles. Id have to avoid certain areas due to poor roads, bumps, etc. Now with the jeep its like bring it on! Just yesterday it rained here(rare occasion in the desert) and I made it a point to go gown this road that was totally torn up just to hit the mud lol.
I love seeing people faces in full size 2wd suvs who will never see dirt as I fly by them over a dividier or something. Pulling out of my work theres construction going on and all lanes blocked off, 20 minutes to get out of the parking area onto a main road. With the jeep, just hope a curb go across a dirt field ahead of all the cars, 2 minutes!

my friend hit a dip in a bank parking lot, it was used like a speed bump there were 2, anyways he was doing 55 + and we went 9 feet in the air hit and his eclipse was a lowered NA and it hurt lol and we got about 5 car lenghts before the engine dumped, apparently he ripped off the oil pan and the motor dropped a rod and some piston components, COOLEST THING I EVER SAW!!!!!!!
there is a set of speed bumps at one of the shoping centers here and it's serious a foot high. even in first goin like 5km/hr the front almost scraps coming over the bump. Fin ridicoules
I take the angle technique myself going over speed bumps, but I also drive around them when at all possible.
I avoid them I think they are dangerous and uneffective, just post radar phot systems or cops in parking areas if there are lots of speeders.
