Smashed my damn windshield last night.

I can see foot prints on the windshield so the asshole walked onto my hood and kicked it in. Luckily they didn't steal anything.

Oh and our hoods are mad strong. NO DENTS or anything. Not even any bad scratches.

Pics to be posted soon.

oh and its fucking Sunday. Only one place is open and they're booked.

Vandals/Thieves can all go to hell.

Pics posted in 1st post.

Anyone know if there are any laws saying I can't drive it?

I really dont want to leave it out in the same lot overnight and i can't get it fixed until tomorrow. I'm supposed to be at my parents house tonight anyways so I may just drive sideroads to get home.

Laws may be different there, but I am going to go out on a limb and say no way. If it impairs the vision of the driver, it can't be driven. Here, you can get pulled over and cited if you have a crack in the windshield.

Ya, I just drove it to move it closer to my apartment building and there's no way I'm driving it. With clear tape on it to hold the glass its not a good idea.

I'm stuck in Boulder with nothing to do(everyone's gone for break), no way to get around(duh), I'm out 75 bucks from missing a full day at work, I'll be out another 250 tomorrow when i get it replaced.

Fucking vandals. Probably drunk and left their moral fiber at home.

On a good note, the lady-cop that came by to take the report was SMOKING hot and was very nice. :) Hot & nice cops are awesome.

Yeah, at our local PD, we have a former Miss Washington. She's cute.

Don't you have comp insurance? If not, I would look into it. It doesn't cost that much. I pay an extra $8/month for mine. $50 deductible takes care of vandalism and theft.

Ya, I'll be reviewing my insurance options now.

I currently have liability only and some medical option. I pay about 350 every 6 months with no tickets/accidents, good student discount, drivers ed discount.

I need to at least add emergency roadside assistance. I could have gotten towed home at least. I think my deductible for windshield damage is 250, for everything else its 500.

Sorry to hear that. Check around to see if people can come to you to fix that windshield. I had a rear window broken on a nissan from someone and someone came to repair that and put in new glass for $135 and used glass would have had been $105 to your door installed but look around.

i just don't understand why people do this kind of shit. they should be severely punished. and i don't mean jail.

i think the ideal punishment would be to hold them down, and kick them in their face until they start crying. i would then make them pay for all damages.

some may think i am cruel, but i think people should be taught a good lesson rather than a slap on the wrist. they will think twice before they do anything like that again.

Sorry for your loss my friend:3d_frown: be careful where you leave your car from now on

Well this happened outside my place of residency... So it'll be in that same spot for a while... :(

I will be looking into better coverage for this sort of thing through my insurance. We'll see if the extra cost is worth it.

maybe you should invest in some surveillance equipment.
you can find a cheap system and hook it up to your tv.

then you will see everyone that walks around and if they get close to the love of your life.:naughty:

most of the time, it's not random people who vandalize stuff.
it could be your neighbors or their kids.

That happened to me a few years ago. I think it was on Dec27th, but forgot the year. All I know is I was almost an hour from home, and despite it all being covered by insurance, I was extremely pissed.

Ya, that's makes me wonder...

I'm a pretty quiet kid, nobody knows me except my roommates and a handful of friends. Some of my friends don't even know what my car looks like. :dunno:

I really hope it was just some stranger. If someone has it out for me, I have NO idea who or why. I'm a nice, easy going kid. I have a long-term g/f, so I know it wasn't cuz I was with some guy's chick.

It'll be a mystery...
