extend oxygen sensor wire

Getting ready to put this pacesetter header on and I'm going to aim for putting the oxygen sensor on the back 3 collector (red dot) so its wire is facing towards the firewall. Is it possible to extend the wire with a butt splice or bullet connector and run it around the charcoal canister and shock tower? What kind of wire should I use?

Your best bet would be to find another o2 sensor and cut it close to the sensor.
Splice that wire into the one you intend to use, cutting that wire closest to the plug. That'll give you 2x the wire distance using the same wire that is needed.

You can splice with no issues, but solder is probably better for continuity.

any issues with only using the exhaust from three cylinders vs six? im guessing it won't be as accurate but still pass for its intended purpose.

Not giving up any accuracy with a 1-wire o2 sensor. It will still serve it's intended purpose.
