I have an HKS sport. Its really quiet, sounds good and looks clean. I dont have a sound clip at this time but I can definetly get one for you soon.

The HKS sport exhaust is for the 7MGE. Do not buy it. It is a 60mm exhaust, with a baffled muffler. You want the turbo exhaust. It is 75mm and a staight through muffler.

And yes, it is quiet. If you lug the engine a little, it is a little deeper. Not real loud, but definetly deeper.

I know what they meant, I don't want somebody to make an internet order for a "sport exhaust" and the wrong one shows up. It would still be better than stock.

My first choice for quiet exhaust would be for the Tanabe Super Medallion. My second choice would be the HKS Super Dragger. Both are very good and each has it's benefits.

The Tanabe is probably a little quieter. (80 mmm pipe)
The Tanabe cost less.
The Tanabe is a newer and bettered engineered product.
The Tanabe is fully stainless steel.
The Tanabe weighs less (If I recall correctly).
The Tanabe fits up under the car better and has no fat can that will get banged up.

The HKS probably flows better. (85 mm pipe)
The HKS can does not have the rolled edges like the Tanabe.
The HKS is "HKS" for whatever that is worth.

The HKS dragger, to me, will attract the wrong type of attention, like blue lights kind of attention if you live in a strict neighborhood where you have to worry about having cops pop your hood to check for illegal parts.

Does the Tanabe drone at low rpms? from about 1500-3000rpms? I spend most my time in that range, id prefer something quiet in the low rpms.
Nope not at all on my 1j. Sounds amazing at wot but hardly can hear it just cruising.

Tanabe ftw

The HKS superturbo is what is on my car Dustin, it is very quiet, a little more throaty than stock when you get on it, but not vocal like alot of other exhausts. the turbo spools faster than it did with the stock exhaust but not quite as good as the cooleeze with magnaflow did on the same car.
