So im in the process of getting my supra put back together and since I just got Historic tags put on it, that means I have no worries about emmissions or inspection. Soo, I figure It would only be right to put a nice free flowing exhaust on the car :biglaugh: So anyway on to my dillemna.

I would like to Run a downpipe that mounts right off the back of the turbo the the BIC DDP's do, into a test pipe, then too a nice free flowing exhaust. Ive been looking at the chinaman 4inch system which is a whole system and a much cheaper option then others. I dont know if a 4inch exhaust is too much for my car though which for atleast a little while will be on the stock turbo.(I plan to go much bigger in the future)

The other option I was looking at is getting a BIC DDP(non re-circulated), test pipe, and a BIC, RS*R GT 2, or some other (cat)back system.

Any thoughts on this guys? Im kinda stuck here because im not sure how much overkill a 4inch will be for my car, or if the chinaman system even sounds that good. Another consideration too is that the chinaman 4in DP isnt a DDP like the BIC. Although im not sure how much of a difference in power that makes.

i would go with BIC DDP(non re-circulated), test pipe, and a BIC, RS*R GT 2 for what you have. the 4" is way overkill at this point not to mention its going to be very loud and intolerable for a daily driver. not to mention there are clearance issues with most 4" exhausts on lowered vehicles

Unless you're on a huge turbo, a 4" exhaust isn't going to do jack. As it is it just sounds like you want to be loud and don't care about the people driving behind you, so just run an open downpipe.

If you DO care a bit about the people behind you if you're ever out cruising with people, run a cat (test pipes are for cheap asses or if you're running leaded race gas).

DDP is stupidly loud and after having mine on for over a year I want to ditch it badly, I ditched the stupidly loud catback I had that had a glasspack for a muffler and went with a full exhaust with a resonator that doesn't drone me to death on the highway (it's physically and mentally exhausting to hear that noise for hours on end).

careful with where it scrapes, if its at the end of the dp it can/will crack something on the dp, turbo or exhaust mani. repairs arent easy at that point.

I have randys DDP (recirculated) and 3.5" thunder exhaust with test pipe and resonator and it sounds awesome...not overkill loud, a mellow but beefy non fart cannon sounding, great flowing exhaust. This isn't my car and im not sure if it has a resonator or not.
