Exhaust Question

Hey guys i have a question for u all.ok my boy got a obx muffler and i want to buy it from him.But he tells me that if im doing a 3" exhaust i cant use this muffler.The muffler has a 2.5 inlet so will it decrease my power?which i believe is wrong.

You can use it but what would be the point if the rest of your system is 3"? If your at stockish power levels it will make a minimal difference.

bring the muffler to an exhaust shop and have them expand it as big as it will go.

pass on it unless you really like how it looks and sounds. get something bigger if you want bigger power later on. the 2.5in section will be the bottle neck and create some backpressure

o.k. so the best thing to get is 3" inlet not a 2.5 inlet.and both of them have an 4.5 outlet

you match the piping.. if you have a 2.5'' exhaust you get a 2.5'' inlet... if you have 3'' piping, then you get 3'' inlet...
