I am havin a really hard time getting m Supra runnin properly since a recent distributer failure. Ill give a brief history of the issue.

I was drivin along and all of a sudden my car would not react to throttle. I already knew what it was for some reason and on the side of he road I pulled the distributer and confirmed my suspucion of the gear being obliterated. I ordered a refurbed one only to find that it would not go in all the way and a removal of the valve cover revealed the cam gear it meshes with was obliterated as well. I was able to locate, thanks to SM, a set of cams that were in much better shaper than the ones I was replacing.

replaced cam seals, greased the cams up and proceeded to take measurements on the cam lobe/valve clearance. None of the valves were more than .001" off the correct measurement so I proceeded to put all back together. Come to find out that the remanufactured distributer I had purchased was defective in that the shaft after the gear itself had not been polished down enough for it to slide into its spot completely. I took it back on warrentee and then, thanks again to SM, was able to locate a used one that works perfect as far as I can tell.

Now for where I am at now. All is back together. Timing set to 0 degrees TDC. She idles really nice. No air leaks at all in the EGR, intake or vacuum lines Ive used much starter fluid seeking that very thing. Ive checked the fuel cut RPMs as per TSRM (I follow it religiously cuz Im completely stock aside from exhaust.

Well when I took it for a drive for the 1st time after the fix I could not get the car to go past 20mph. There is no power ther e at all. When Im in neatral with the E-Brake on and I rev up to 3-3.5K RPMs as the RPMs decrease the exhaust pops once or twice.

What can cause this issue I am having?

I am no way , nor claim to be a mechanic althoiugh this is my 3rd Supra and Ive swapped engines and fine tuned every single one of them (no engine swap in this one tho, its got almost 200K original miles) Im getting really discouraged here and going on 3 weeks without a friggin car. Its nerveracking as hell to work full time, arrange rides to/from work (anywhere for that matter) all the while trying to fix my car in my spare time. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Oh yea im spittin a code 41 and thats the only error I got and, as far as my understanding goes, it should really not be causing this kind of issue.
