I am not familiar with that line, but what I do know is that I had a similar universal straight-through style, did not really like it, both in looks and sounds, I just put in a SS MagnaFlow 3" in with dual 2.5" out, then just added short finished tips to the outlets, I have only idled so far, will take on the road today and see how it alters performance...

All of them look like they have the ability to bolt and unbolt a removable silencer in to the tip(s). I personally like the N1 style muffler (straight through cylinder type) design for it's look and sound, but it does come down to a lot of personal preference.

Never heard of HPF? Wow... new to the car world? Yes, they're a reliable vendor, I've personally probably spent upwards of 5-7k with them over the years.

Not sure if you are referring to OP or my thread, but I did not say I had never heard of them... said I am not familiar with that line of mufflers... meaning I have never run one, so could not voice an opinion about them (not as a vendor, but as to the mufflers) I am not personally a fan of the straight through style, too much like the fart cans... again just my opinion. I am glad you are giving them business, the only reason I have not, is that I have not found them to be the best pricing on what I have purchased, so have never found my self buying anything from them... but again my point was to comment on an opinion of the Megan Mufflers, not HPF as a vendor

New to the car world... um no

Personally, I dislike those style mufflers. Loud without the silencer in, and pointless with them in...

are you saying you would run one that dosent have the option to put a silencer on?

Megans are kinda loud.

Be a better idea to run a quieter muffler than to run a loud 1 with a silencer in. Why pay for a 3in exhaust only to have a 1 1/4" exit hole?

Don't take too much offense, pretty sure he was referring to the OP ;)

Lol, it wasn't so much offense, as it was the wrong time to read the board... something else had me a little po'd earlier today... But I figured since I had said "I am not familiar with that line" and he had said "Never heard of HPF? Wow... new to the car world?" Figured he was talking to me... just seemed like a shitty way to put it and the comment was in no way of any assistance to the OPs question...

AAAANNNNYWAY - I am with Poodles on the subject, but some like the sound of those straight through style, I just did not. I have had the new setup on the road today (with the magnaflow) and like it much much better :)

Was referring to the OP sir, sorry for the confusion. I can't comment on the choice of exhaust as I can't say I've ever heard one, but HPF as a vendor is a good choice.

As a matter of fact yes i am new to the car world assclown. this supra is my first car (17 years old) and the main reason i'm on this site is to LEARN which, seeing as to how u also own a supra, i would think u would want, so that the new generation can love these cars as much as u all do. So before u start trollin on peoples threads, y dont u just give a productive awnser that i can LEARN from.

HPF is a great vendor (I needed a part on short order, called them up and they held the delivery truck to get my order on it), but megan is a bit...meh.

Also, looking in your profile, you're NA. It's going to drone and ultimately be annoying (and a cop magnet). It's your car though...

Poodles makes a good point here man, I didn't bother to look through your profile. If you're n/a, I wouldn't put a muffler of that style on there. You really don't stand to gain much, aside from a headache. Disconnect your exhaust at the cat, and you'll have a good idea of what your car is going to sound like... I mean if you're looking for attention, feel free, but I like my n/a cars quiet unless they can actually get out of their own way.
