Exhaust manifolds

Let's say someone was wanting to run a GT4088.

Would this turbo fit using:

SSAC Ebay special?
HKS long runner cast manifold?
MAXX Autoworks T4 adapter for the stock manifold?

Just curious

just messin with ya... you would need a few things... IE: the ebay manifold plus a nice and correct spacer so the compressor housing clears.... im not sure on the HKS manifold but id be willing to bet a spacer would be needed as well.

Not sure about the MAXX or HKS.

My GT42 fits - barely - with the ebay special. I dont see why the GT40 wouldnt.

Yeah, the 42 has a larger compressor housing than the 40. Tho aren't you running a 2JZ?

Yeah but it shouldnt be too much different. I had a ebay 7m manifold also and it looked really similar to the 2jz one.

i can tell you a t66 on a ebay manifold doesnt fit (compressor housing)....so take that for whats its worth.

What size is compressor cover on that T66?

Another point is that not all of the ebay manifolds are the same.... The SS autocrap, and some other ching chang chow manis are different.

Well, based on some research I've done (aka SEARCH) I'm leaning toward the HKS long runner cast manifold... seems it's practically indestructible, and flows like a tubular setup! This means I'll have a 3" DDP (recirc with flex section) brand new for sale soon, the 57trim will be up for grabs, and the 3" elbow + exhaust I have now will also go. Those items should fund the long runner manifold + something like a .... 60-1 T4 for now, until I step up to what I really want, this summer

Another point is that not all of the ebay manifolds are the same.... The SS autocrap, and some other ching chang chow manis are different.

the flange on my ebay manifold is warped, I need to give it to my machinest, which would be easier than sending it back.

I've heard of other ones being warped as well, so its a risk to save $$

Nick: I made my own 2" adaptor to raise it up so the Comp cover is away from #1 runner.

Yep, I'm really wanting to go HKS long runner. Anyone running a large turbo on it, any reports of cracking, etc?

It does, I love the way my car sounds.

And yes a GT35R needs a spacer, I used a 3/8" manifold flange as a spacer, fits great. BTW, oil lines on a GT35R=PITA
