Where on the manifold? Oil? Front, middle, or rear? Front, possibly cam cover gasket, or CPS o-ring. Middle, cam cover, turbo oil line gasket, or oil filter gasket. Rear, cam cover. At least, those are the possible oil leaking areas I can think of right now. Coolant? Any of the coolant lines that run in that area.

more toward the front. it doesnt smell like burnt oil. on the cps are you talking bout the gasket in between the sensor and the plastic cover? that was replaced when old plastic cover broke and replaced.

Sometimes when I spray liquid wrench/penetrating fluid on to exhaust bolts, it smokes for a while until it's all evaporated. I noticed you said rebuilt 7M, so maybe this is the case.

No, the O-ring on the shaft, inside the head. If it doesn't smell like oil, maybe it's coolant, or rust penetrant, like Weeves said.

Try revving it up manually at the throttle body. Might have a pinhole in a coolant hose going to your turbo. Happened to me, doesnt leak at idle, but when you rev it up the water pressure goes up and sprays the manifold. If it is get it taken care of right away cuz that hose can burst at any time leaving you stranded.
