but i have a DDP, charcoal removed, and my A/C removed so there is a nice big hole in the firewall where the hardlines used to run into the cabin...and this hole is right by the turbo/downpipe.
i have the same problem but i have no cat, and i think the guy i bought it from removed the charcoal canister cause i dont see it were its supposed to be unless he got the jdm one(charcoal canister was under passenger wheel well) cause he did say it was a jdm motor. maybe ill check the weather stripping too. i got used to the smell but others who ride in my car complain and all my clothes smell like exhaust gas

Huh? The location of your cats have nothing to do with whether you have a jdm engine or not. Have you looked under the car for them?
Edit: I don't understand this fuel smell thing. I have no char can, and no cats. Haven't for a couple years now. I never smell fuel, and have never had an issue with the car. You guys are all weird.:biglaugh:
