what sounds good to you? loud and whiny, loud and rumbly, quiet yet deep, quiet until you go WOT? how much do you want to spend? do you have a dp or an aftermarket elbow?

Well, You should really look into 3 inch downpipes too. If you want loud and rumbly, like I did, i went for the Blitz Nur-Spec. Do a search on here for video/ sound clips of exhausts. You can also check youtube or streetfire.net

imo, i think a three inch exhaust, is a three inch exhaust. no matter the brand, or the price. i use a three inch mandrel bent pipe, no cats, and a no name straight through three inch muffler, and i love the sound. it's quiet at idle, but sounds good good while cruising, but screams at WOT. i saved quite a bit of money that way, and got the same performance as a name brand exhaust system.

Just a suggestion but I think you should run a 3" high flow cat. An exhaust without a cat smells like shit and doesn't gain you that much. It also causes emissions problems if that matters to you.

Secondly, I would personally not run an exhaust without a resonator. Drone sucks and ruins the experience of roads trips etc.

I had a 3" Cooleze exhaust w/ 3" magnaflow cat and magnaflow 4" single tip muffler on my 89 turbo and it wasnt too bad but it wasnt for me. So not even 3 months after putting the brand new exhaust on, i went and spent more to get an HKS super turbo 3" dual tip exhaust which required another hi-flo cat/installation.

To me the note and look of the exhaust are as important as build and cost. I did ALOT of research on here and youtube/google before i ordered the HKS and am thoroughly satisified with it EXCEPT....i have noticed there is more lag than there was with the magnaflow/cooleeze setup. :icon_frow and that kind of sucks.

Mine comes with a removable silencer too, but no option of a resonator is offered. My exhaust wasn't mean to be civil on the streets as it's geared towards off road vehicles ;)
