by never had he's just talking aobut his particular supra and that since he has had it, the AC, climate control, power windows and doors have never worked. The rest of us are living in luxury.

As an aside it was 20 years today I bought the car. June 22, 1987 is the day I paid for and drove it off the dealers lot. I never thought I'd still be driving it today.

Holy shit. Bravo!

Exactly, no ac/heater/defrost, windshield washers, backseats, interior lights, power locks(windows actually work now). etc. Just all the small things that my supra doesnt have. The cherokee is like a Cadi for me now!! I mean come on, the jeep has wood grain accents!!!

Your funny.

Well come on, the supra IS a sports car. Since when do sports cars reflect luxury in any sense. The cherokee is (unlike the wrangler) geared more toward being driver friendly. The cherokee is no town car or anything but its way beyond a sports car when it comes to comforts.

I'll pull a cross country drive in my supra, way before a jeep or a big SUV or hell any car for that. The supra feels so comfortable compared to anything else almost, and I've driven/ridden in a lot of stuff.

Well personal opinion of course but Ill never agree to that. I like my supra alot sure its not uncomfortable. Id never say its more comfortable than a nice sedan though. Theres no cup holders in the supra, that alone says alot about its purpose. People dont buy(they shouldnt) sports cars because they are the most comfortable car they been in. You are driving a sports car because of its performance.

Again its a sports car, creature comforts arent its selling point.

LOL, srry but the supra isn't just a sports car...it was and pretty much still is toyota's flagship supercar. To me a sports car is uncomfortable, and very mechanical, almost no luxury. the supra is FAR from that.

WTF? This car wasn't Toyota's most expensive car because it was fast. thats a crop load of bullshit.

This 20 year old piece of Japanese marvel is so advanced, if you haven't noticed by now, I'm not even going to bother explaining it to you.

Wow I didnt know a 20 year old car was still toyotas flagship supercar.

Sorry again, its all personal preference. The supra has a few things other sports cars dont/didnt have sure but its no luxury car by any means. Still, the supra is geared towards spirited driving. All the fancy seat adjustments are to keep you in the sit when you drive fast lol.

You mean to tell me a supra is more comfortable and user friendly than a 2008 cadi? Even an 87 cadi is by far more about comfort than a supra. Theres a reason luxury cars exist or else wed all be driving in 2dr sporty cars.

You guys need to get your heads outa the supra tailpipe and learn to appreciate other cars too ;p

sorry, I like sitting IN seats not ON them

you're forgetting the supra came with all those options...STANDARD EQUIP

I've driven newer cars, and haven't liked many of them. The only car that I've been in that was even close was a C4 vette...

But back to the original question. I have thought MANY times about selling my car. But I happened to find the year, color, and option package I wanted (though it's not the best example of it). I've gone through rod knock, BHG, cooling system failure (fixing now, another $1k later...), and all the little crap that goes wrong. My g/f WON'T let me sell it because all the hard work an money dumped into it that I'll NEVER get back (only in the pleasure of driving it), and she wants one herself (shockingly).

Don't think I could sell her, I've spent too much (could have quite a few other cars easily), and it's not even close to done...

Same here, though I usually think about it for at least 20 min. before I talk myself out of it.
