The main difference is one engine comes from the other side of the world, and possibly was in somoe wicked tyte drift competition. Used engine is a used engine, unless you know the person who drove it then it's a gamble from wherever you buy it. Just get the best deal.

well if its a JDM 7mge then you'll have to switch out the oil pan, because there was no 7mge supra in Japan, only the cressida/chaser or whatever.

With that said, I'd go Canadian.

Different oil pan, no ACIS (I believe), will probably have to change some stuff, but you could use parts from a dead Canadian 7M-GE, for a lot of the stuff anyways.
