check the ecu to find out if the was another set of knock sensor wires that were ran afterwards thats what mine was so the brown wires wer dead on the mutimeter.

lots of people do the KS rewire and clip the ends off the old ones... it just saves hassles from splitting the entire loom and taking the wires out and replacing them, then re-wrapping the loom...

common issue on the car... the circuit doesn't allow for too much deviation, so if the wire gets old, they start throwing codes...

but it seems that we have the common grey wire replacements and those arent even shielded and are kinda on the small gauge side. wtf :3d_frown:
