i have a 87 mk3. im doing an engine swap with a motor from japan. :evil2: the problem is that the oil pan is totally different and does not fit. :icon_conf the only way i see to fix it is by cutting the oil pan or replacing the pump with the old pump from the american motor.:1zhelp:

Replace it with a Supra oil pan. This happens often enough and I believe it's usually because the replacement motor is not from a Supra.
Personally, I'd recommend replacing the oil pump while you're at it.

The reason for the difference is that it's from a Cressida and not a Supra. Different cross member = different oil pan and oil pump.

A little bird, okay, a HUGE mutha of a nasty predatorial winged monster, told me the block needs to be drilled for the Supra's dip stick.

Easy? Sure, put the oil pan from the Supra's 7M on it. If you don't have one hit a junk yard (clean the hell out of it before you use it though.

EDIT:
More from the winged thing which eats elephants.... don't forget to plug the old dipstick's port.
