Engine struggles after Lexus AFM/550cc installed...

So are you saying if i put in the Lexus afm and 550 injectors i wouldn't have any problems boosting on my stock turbo. I'm getting the DDp in a few days so with just the afm and injectors would i hit FCO?

I had DP/Lex/550 with stock fuel and was fine running 12psi. Don't go nuts cranking up the boost on stock fuel. The Walbro and AFPR are just insurance until you get to a certain HP level then manditory, but good insurance in my opinion.

Update: (now back in Seattle)

I was long gone on my trip after last post......Holy crap! No more fuel cut, woo hoo!!! Been boosting my way to TX and damn, she ran beautifully. :bowdown: I also stopped whenever tank is at the 1/4 mark, just to be safe. I forgot to bring the Walbro with me so my dad can install it at the shop. :squint:

Will install Walbro very soon.....

So let me get this straight...

You put on the lexus afm meter HOUSING...but didnt put on the AFM electronics? Is that what your problem was?

yes, that was his problem. i'm assuming that his LEX afm electronics were faulty.

At first I put on the LEX AFM with the Supra electronics (that was what I remembered from research), but it hesistate. Then I replaced the electronics with the LEX electronics and it worked.

The electronics are the same. Sounds like you had a dead AFM in there. Thats why when you swapped em back out, it worked. Good set in, bad set out = car runs.
