engine sounds unbalanced

Hi guys, When i rev my engine freely at around 3-4k rpm and up the engine almost sounds unbalanced. It has always done this. Kind of like the harmonic balancer isn't perfectly round or something. I'm pretty sure its not rod knock. What do you guys think?

It could well be that your harmonic balancer is shot, how old is it exactly? The original? I'd say so

The 6M crank you have doesn't help either.

I wonder where the worst harmonic imbalance is at in a 6M 7MGTE supra...

Try cleaning you're crankshaft pulley or "harmonic balancer" witch it doesn't have. Really its just a dampener. You could have chunks of dirt stuck inside.

If its a 88- then at about 5.5k+ its normal

Your crankshaft pully may be loose try to tighten it to 197 ft lbs in 5th gear.
