I have a mostly stock 7mgte. Aftermarket BOV if it makes a difference. Usually when I am reving high at full boost, once i shift or slow down the car will shut off. I've also noticed it happens when I free-rev and the tach drops to about 500, up to 1k-12 and then dies. I dont know if they're related. I will check the codes this weekend but does anyone know what might be causing this?

Thanks in Advance.

If your BOV vents to atmosphere, it can cause these symptoms. It's been posted many times here. Re-install your stock setup, and try it. If it's fixed, then leave it, or install the HKS SSQV, and the recirc adapter.

I actually got the car with the BOV it has right now, dont have the stock setup. Is there a way to bypass it to test it?

you can try blocking up the adaptor for the bov. that will all depend on how it is connected to your IC piping though. I wouldnt leave it like that, but if you just want to test it could work.

what kind of valve is it?
