What kind of compression do you want your motor to have?

Daily Driver? Weekend track warrior? Tailer Queen?

How responsive do you want the motor to be? All around good throttle response with a nice kick when you reach full spool? Or laggy until boost hits, then you can't raise your head off the back of your seat until you shift?

Driveline Plans?

Brake Plans?

Suspension Plans?

Oiling mods?

You've got a lot to think about here, and those are just a few things to take your time for now.

I suggest you talk to someone one here who builds 7M's as a service and have them do this for you, you'll spend more upfront, but most likely less in the long run compared to you building it, then leaving something out, causing another expensive rebuild, resulting in you loosing interest in the car.

Talk to suprarich, he may be able to lead you in the right direction.

You got deep pockets son? You'll need them, welcome to the money pit, and I'm not joking ;).

you could follow his build too... and he had a STOCK head. haha

if your up to do it yourself, then do it, its better to learn now and save yourself money. OR have the short or long block assembled by the machineshop, mine was only going to charge me 160 to do the short block, which included filing the rings. but i did it myself.

yha im not planning on making it a treailer queen, maybe a 4 out of 7 days a week driver, i would take it to the track. my goals are to have a street legal bad ass car. not to crazy but just enough. i would just like to get my engine built to make shure the engine is gona b able to take all the mods i will do over time like bigger turbo, fuel, ect. I would like to know where i can get this done at too. just build the engine like new w. better internals making the engine hold up to 6 to 700 hp. i will do the brakes, suspension, trans, ect over the time of the build. i wish i could just buy all the stuff and do it all at one but like i said this is gona be a over the time build. just the engine frist.

if all you want is the engine done right now... i would go with that pacakge. seeing as how machine work is about
$1300~
+
$3000~ (parts)
=
$4300~

so only paying $900 for somebody to build your motor almost complete, plus your getting a setup that is good for more than 600 (800hp has been done on a setup less than that) i'd call it a good deal! but thats if you dont wanna do it yourself... you could probably save a lot of money if you do it yourself.

just food for thought...
