Uhm, I really don't see the need for a racial remark like that :nono:

I was gonna say something, but I didn't want this thread to take that kind of a turn. So let's just end the discussion on remark right here and just stick to the subject of the post.

BTW, I'm a Jew and cheap as hell :naughty: . However, I still do not condone that remark.

I'm sorry, but that is the worse strapping job I have ever seen of an engine to a pallet. It's the shippers fault it fell over, and he should replace anything that was damaged when it fell, ESPECIALLY considering there is $4000 worth of rusty dirty engine in this picture. It looks like that engine would fall over before it ever got on the truck. The engine should have had blocks of wood under the front and back of the oil pan, and the straps need to go around the bottom of the whole pallet.

Cmon guys. Enough with the "rusty engine" crap. This 7M is more than worth what I paid. It has been sitting outside of his car for years. Steve only ran it for a little bit.

This is probably one of, if not the most capable engine on these forums. With the proper turbo that is.

I'm not questioning that. But if your gonna sell someone a used engine for $4k, at least use a $5 can of engine paint and strap it nicely to the pallet so it doesn't get all f'd up in shipping. Your the one who was complaining, we were just trying to sympathize with you. Plus, even worse, there was a $400 Zeitronix wideband with display shipped with an engine on a pallat? Come on now, throw the damn thing in a $9 USPS insured flat rate box. I also would not blame the freight company for that.

Sorry I commented about it.

Honestly, I agree. Absolutely piss poor packaging. I'd be talking to Steve, the shipping company won't do anything unless they feel like being REALLY nice!

Ha! Toyotas qoute for an new knock sensor and wire harness is $808. That is jus ludacris! LOL.

I talked to steve also and he assure me that the engine was mounted very securely and it wasn't going anywhere. Plus, if it fell over there would be much more damage. Why just one plug smashed and not any of the others? Why no scratches or dents on the intake mani?

It's almost like they intentionally unstrapped it and moved it from one skit to another. As to why I have no idea.

Its a common phrase, especially on the east coast. Let it slide man.

Sorry about the jew comment, i mean no offense to anyone, its a commonly used phrase here and i didnt even think about it before i said it. I dont mean to offend anyone, its just a slang word that im used to hearing and saying.

Edit: markIII, i knew the quote would be high, i was predicting higher. Thats why i said to get those written quotes so you seem like a huge victim losing out on over 1 grand in parts due to their negligence.

everyone saying that it's the shippers fault for not securing the load... you right but how does that explain the fact the plastic was made into a POS and had holes put into it right where the goodies where at. someone stole the lcd plain and simple. I feel like both are at fault here in their own way.

I cannot believe it was shipped that way, jesus even if you buy a POS JDM ragged and rusted to hell engine they do a better job of securing it for shipping. :thumbsdow

And putting loose, expensive crap on the top of the engine and securing with pastic wrap, downright pathetic...... what pisspoor judgement, I'm sorry, there is no way around this one, shippers fault. :slap: You don't know if stuff was stolen or what, but the point is it shouldn't have been shipping literally sitting on top of the engine.... wow.

All heavy shit shipped on a truck goes through hell to get to you, just the way it is. Truck shipping isn't USP or Fed-Ex, never has been never will be.

Good luck getting anything from the shipping company, better not show them any of these pictures, they are gonna say the same thing.

As for the shipping reciept. Yes, it seems I signed my life away, but I really didn't have a choice in the matter seeing how I'm in the middle of a move and this engine was being stored at a friends garage. Which was not the easiest thing for me to setup.

Here the shipping reciept I signed:

As far as the engine itself, it doesn't appear to be damaged. These things are pretty tough. Here are pics I took after I cut off the plastic and stood it up.

Unishippers said I would need to send them a bill of sale and a breakdown of what I'm asking for.

Well everyone, what am I asking for? What is the replacement value of the damage?

Oh and btw, the Turbo is mine. It's one of the older SupraSport Stage 3 turbo's with a 60-1 in it. I sent it to Steve to have it primed and installed. I know it's a baby for this engine, but I just want to start small. The main thing I'm concerned about is drivability and I want really quick spool. I plan on upgrading in the near future. So the $4000 for the engine I paid was without turbo.
