engine choke and check engine light comes on help

O.k i this issue for sometime now. When i start my 87 supra turbo 5 speed, it idles fine but when i put it in motion while i'm on the gas it just hesitate for about 2-4 second and the check engine light will come on then the engine's power will kick back in like i just bast the gas pedal and check engine light will go off.

This will go on for about 10 minutes for so. When the engine is warm up to normal running temp. by driving it drives just fine. The check engine doesn't stay on long enough for me to figure it out. Now this only happen like once or twice a week.

I hope i with this little info. will help you HELP me. I don't know what to do. It drives fine after it's warm up.

if it flashes you can still check it, it's stored in memory IIRC

O.k i've read the link but how do i make an SST 09843-18020 tool to read the code? Is there any links to show a "how to"? Thank you for all your help so far.

You can go to the dealer and buy one....or you can just use a paper clip or piece of wire

^^ use a paper clip, LOL, or an insulated piece of solid wire.... even a pair of tweezers will work, although im not usre if you'll get a shock.
on mine i have to play with it a bit to get the jumper to hold steady between the plugs....
