I am finally getting around to building a motor for some power. I have JE .50 over pistons, crower rods, full ferrea oversize valvetrain, and a T61 turbo. I was just wondering about any little tricks to making a 7m be reliable for 600-700 horse. Any tips would be appreciated.

The first thing that most guys who have built high horsepower engines will tell you is to use a torque plate and make sure the timing belt tensioner is installed when you have the cylinders bored and honed. I would also look into the oil pump supply kit that arizona performance makes. I have one and they are really good quality. I would also get rid of the stock oil cooler system and change in to a bigger temperature controlled system.

I would read alot of build threads on this forum and look for the experts comments and value them like gold.Use a very good machine shop, and plastiguage all your clearances dont take the shops word for it.Balance everything you can.Clean everything one million times before bolting it together.
