Engine build on hold, can't find this tool!!

cost me $45 usd for a bottoming out tap from fastenal.

holy crap, are we talking about a tap? i bought a helicoil kit in that size for my exhaust studs but it was only about 60 and i thought that was way too much.

That was for the heli-coil tap/kit. The bolts I would need for it cost another $5.

SUCKED!!! AND, come to find, I had water in the oil (after putting everything back together... probably from where I initially Fed up the block with bolts which were too long. Had to replace the block, 'cause I stripped the original threads and probably cracked the cylinder wall, etc. The replacement non-turbo block only cost $200 and included the crank/pistons.

My engine build was coming along quite nicely, now it's on hold cuz my mechanic can't find a 12mm x 1.25 tapping bolt. does anyone know where i can find one? I need one fedex'ed to me here in Belize asap!!!

Hey you guys are awesome, thanks for the offers, I finally picked up the correct one from the machine shop. it's the same shop that bored and decked my block.

so the build is underway again!!
