Emission Results-Still Pass After Deleting Precat in CA?

I'd like to get a 3" DP installed and remove the first catalytic converter thats on the downpipe. Attached are my emissions results from May 06. Everything is wya easily passing except 15mph hydrocarbons, will removing the first cat put me over? I think I can easily pass visual, most places prolly won't notice the 1st cat missing, just whether or not I can pass emissions. How much does the precat really do? Thanks!

Well, I'd say that since the cat is really old, it probably isn't very effective anymore...but if you get a new 2nd cat put on when you remove your pre-cat, you'll likely pass.

Make sure you have gotten the cat nice and hot before you go in.
You should be fine.

It will passs with one cat. As long as they look underneath the car ans see a cat...and the cat itself have to be working properly.

If you still cannot pass, just put a gal of methanol 15 mins -30 mins before your test and you should be okay.
Your fuel tank should be empty before you put the methanol in.

Yeah, thats what I was assuming, get the car real nice and warmed up first.
