I am having some sort of problem that I can't figure out that is holding my car back. One of the things that I want to check is my emergency brake, as my car was drifted in it's life prior to me. Does anyone have pictures of the emergency brake "shoes". It is my understanding that they are on the back side of the rear brake rotors, and are some sort of small shoes. I am going to inspect them tomorrow, but I don't really know what I am looking for. Any help on how to inspect them, and or pictures would be appreciated.

drifiting on the emergency brakes on the mkiii supra?

Not for anything and speaking from experience, the parking brakes on our cars are good for about 3 STOPS and then they are gone. They are that THIN.

You are correct. The "parking" brakes on our cars is based on the older drum based setup. So you have brake shoes in "mini" form.

that is a good guide (as anything else with this car :) )

Thanks for the link! Um, I guess I could have done a better search. I'm terrible with using the TSRM, either online or in my hard copy, because I can never figure out where to look. I'm slowly learning, but still a work in progress with that thing. This car seems to be teaching me the TSRM in short order though.

EWD = Supra Electrical Bible :)

that one's a little more difficult to use, but it is probably the best resource to have for these cars (especially when re-assembling a car from scratch)

That's what the problem is. I never use my Bible as much as I should.

ok

how about this then

TSRM = Supra technical "Statutes at large"
EWD = Supra Electrical "Statutes at large"\

"Statutes at large" is every single law pass by congress of the United States of America. :)
