Any know of an affordable way to eliminate the MAF. The HKS VPC was brought to my attention but is the any other way?
It's an add on computer. It plugs in between a GM MAF and your old AFM sensor plug, removing the AFM entirely.empera said:hmm looks like somethin i'd get in the near futute., so its just a chip?
Err... this may just be semantics, but still...quicksilver said:with the MAFT your still using AFM but its a GM hotwire type and can be used in a blow thru setup to be more efficent and its less restrictive to begin with. The only real ways to get rid if it all together is a PHR MAP ECU, HKS VPC, standalone set to speed density, or a turbo A ecu with wiring harness and sensors.

MAF = Mass Air Flow
AFM = Air Flow Meter
MAF is not equal to AFM.

there's a nifty feature called "search"......empera said:wat cars do the GM maf's come off ? i'll hit up the junk yard and look for a few, for myself and to sell
