well i am having some serious electrical problems with my supra, i would like to know if anyone has any ideas. also, i noticed these problems arose once i change an RCA cable in my head unit for my amp. one rca cable was bad, so when i replaced it these problems showed up. i dont know why. i highly doubt i pulled out a wire or something because nothing would work right? no lights, no alarm at all.

any help or things to check is appreciated.

first of all, my keyless entry and alarm system is not working properly.
i have a clifford alarm system. basically, when i hit to button to unlock the doors it doesnt work, but if i disconnect the battery and then reconnect it (it resets all the circuits right?) it works. UNTIL i put the key in the ignition and turn it to at least ON, it still works in ACC but once i click over to ON it shorts out or something and the keyless entry and alarm dont work anymore. any ideas?

also, my running tail lights are out. my brake lights, turn signals, and rear side markers work fine (not to mention all the lights in the front) but when i turn on my lights i get no lights in the back. any idea what this is associated with? anything i should check for.

i would just check all of the wiring in the back of your radio and everything around it because the problems did start after you changed your rca cables. youd be surprised what those radio circuits with cut wires can do. i had a cressida and decided to go cheapo when i did my stereo and cut the wires and all o my lights went out.

eeek! All you can do is retrace your steps, look at everything around the area where you were working very carefully. Since you have an aftermarket alarm system all bets are off when trying do diagnose it over the web. We will have no idea how the circuit is laid out or what the "Shorcut City" or "Home of the 1 dollar wire fire" guy hacked into.

As for your tail lamps start here.

Good luck and let us know how it goes. ;)

fixed both issues.

the keyless entry i have no idea how my dad fixed it, he said he just jiggled the wires, it might have been a lose connection.

the taillights were caused by a blown tailight failure sensor box. it blew up inside. lol
