i wish it was paradise
I thought putting the sensor in the tube for the cylinder furtherest from the fuel pump was standard because that is the cylinder that would run lean the quickest resulting in hight EGTs. Now, I may be wrong.

Mine is located post turbo; but, it reads in F instead of C. It was in the car when I bought it.

So IJ, your 750C (1382F) comfort zone is a Post Turbo figure right?

Also, what can one tell from their EGT's? It probably helps monitor a lean condition; but, what else?

timing being pulled such as knock retard. egts will spike higher when ignition timing is retarded.

if you've ever run past 5700rpm where timing is said to be pulled heavily by the stock ecu, you should see egts start climbing pretty quick. (mine went from 1250 degrees to 1400 in a heart beat)
