I recently bought a JDM 7M-GE complete block, and noticed that the throttle body was different from the one on my old motor as it lacked the two vacuum ports for the EGR system. I'm wondering if I delete the EGR system from the car would it make any difference as I'm not sure if the ECU from the JDM cars are different from the US cars in the relation to emissions.

There is also a EGR plate on the rear of the block on my old motor and not one on the new one. So if I was forced to use the EGR system would I have to move this part over as well as the old throttle body?

I also noticed that the motor mount spots were different and I had to move the mounts back when I dropped in the new motor. As well as various other differences such as the oil pan and oil pump.

You didn't get a Supra motor if the mounts are different, you got a Cressida. As far as the EGR system, a lot say change it over, some say just leave it off. There's several threads about the purpose of it. Probably a few at the bottom of this page :) Nope I just checked.
