Thanks Doward. Lol, around here I need all the help I can get. Not to mention the stock ECU remains in closed loop till around 3-4 psi under such conditions.

Cryo: I sure fooled that guy eh? Since when am I reasonable? ;)
lol.
That is my only comment.

Even with the correct info, some will still tell tall tales. It has been pointed out for some years that introducing inert spent gasses into the intake track lowers combustion temps due to INERTpart. It doesn't burn. It displaces some oxygen.

And then some jerks will say EGR causes head gasket failures. :nono:

My EGT's dropped 50-100 deg's C when I re-installed the EGR to pass emissions. Plus, the USDM ECU's fuel map is calibrated for having the EGR present. Knowing that now, I won't run a 7M motor without it.

What if you're running standalone?

Different story...you can custom tune the fuel map.

I also run an EGR for the reason it's on the car...I notice it everytime I drive down from the higher elevation where I live to the city. A rather nasty looking brown cloud. ;)
