I think the GE injectors are low impedance, 3-4 ohms.

Only 86-88 GE cars with the yellow top injectors had resistor packs cause yes, they were Low Imp. Later cars with lime green top injectors were High Imp. thus, did not have resistor packs....

lets hope not.... so new resistor through auto zone is $69.99...

Dont worry, you didn't fry it as long as the resistor pack plug was not jumped with jumper wires to power the Injectors.... If the wiring is all stock and the resistor pack was not there, then the injector circuits were not powered up so nothing could have happened to the ECU... Get the resistor pack on there is it should fire right up (barring no other problems else where).....

i have the resiostor pack plugged in

oil ontop of the plugs is not a big deal the cover is just leaking. the water is a bit strange but could be one of the coolant hoses leaking.

so did it fire with the resistor pack plugged in?

You said it was there and plugged in the whole time, you are referring to the injector resistor pack and not the fuel pump resistor pack right? The one on the left (drivers) side shock tower / wheel well correct?

it was on the right side ) passenger side wheel well... right by the tems. I mean it cranks but doesn't seem to be getting gas... I can smell it sometimes but figured i should change the spark plugs ( bought this as a jdm import) and found the water and oil. will get new seals, just need it to run a couple weeks then am gonna do a mhg arp studs and valve cleaning.

No, that is the is the fuel pump resistor that is on the passanger side, not the injector resister pack....

The injector resistor pack is mounted in the same spot but on the drivers side....

That is the fuel pump resistor pack, not the injector resistor pack. The injector resistor pack is in the same spot just on the other side..... Refer to the link that dumbo posted in post #9 of this thread IIRC..... Look scrolll all the way to the right (i.e, looking at the drivers side of the car in the photo and you'll see a box that looks similar to the one in the picture that you posted but again, its on the drivers side. I'll have a 4 wire plug.....

You should have a 4 wire plug that comes out with the igniter plugs from the enging harness along with the engine to chassis plug over there right behind the battery and fuse box. I'll bet that that 4 wire plug is not plugged into anything and it should be plugged into the injector resistor pack...

Local salvage yards maybe.

Make a post on here in the want to buy section.

If push comes to shove. I might be able to get you one. I was at a local salvage yard today and there was a turbo supra there. I didn't notice if the resistor was there or not, but I could easily go back and check and pick it up for you if you can find one easier.

Also they might be still availible through toyota as a last resort.....

Oh, you can use ones off of other cars like I eclipes's and what not but you would end up needing 2 of them cause they are only 2 circuit, and you need a 3 circuit unit and you would have to have a small bit of wiring know-how... Best bet is to try to find a supra one as it is plug and play..... Also, 86-eary88 N/A supras have them too and its the same part, so you might have a little better luck finding one in a local salavage yard

wow... $121.00... That's pretty pricey. Well if anyone could get one from a salvage yard let me know the price + shipping... otherwise I can rewire one if need to

Hey, look at dumbo's last post, he has one he said he'd give to you, just have to pay shipping.....

Edit: Post #36
