I know the doors are available, I just think they could be produced for a cheaper base price, and cheaper shipping price because of where they are being produced (and shipped from).

Cheaper than $1500 for a two piece design? Doubt it.

The mold itself would be about 1/3 of that price. The other 1/3 labor and the other 1/3 material.

Wishful thinking.

115 lbs? I call shenanigans. I dont know anyone lighter than my 126 lbs.

Anyways I'm a weak fellow too, but I have taken off my hood by myself twice and put my Miata's top up with one hand at 60 mph multiple times so...I dont really want anyone complaining about that sort of thing

I'm 130 and the targa isn't heavy at all. I used to be quick with that thing... I had two targa remover tools so I dual-wielded it ;)

I was quick once myself. Long story short, Florida bright and sunny summer days without clouds dont guarantee no rain. I worked at Publix so I had to park all the way out by the road. Someone mentioned that it was raining and it was the only day I've ever left my targa off.

Fortunately, despite the pouring rain, it was dried out the next day.

Okay everyone already knows the work Juan is putting behind getting CF parts made for our beloved MKIII's. I've been talking with Juan, and have spoken with Extreme Dimensions myself. So long as there is an interests for ED financially, they will keep making parts for us. So this thread is about making even more suggestions to Extreme D & Carbon Creations, but showing them that there is a big enough market for them to make us stuff. I'll kick it off with some of my ideas, and feel free to suggest some of your own, or offer opinions. Please keep it clean and easily understandable so that if and when ED checks the forums to see the interest, that they will see enough $$$ signs to want to go ahead with the production. In addition to the parts Juan is having made for us (CF hood, CF hatch, CF headlamp covers, duraflex fenders) I'll throw out some ideas of my own. Again this is a suggestion and interests thread not a group buy thread. If we get the interests, we can get the parts. Please make sure your suggestions are universal in a sence they can be used on either the pre 89's or the 89+'s, as I don't believe ED or CC will design specialties for both as it's not a feesable thing for a business to do. Anyways here goes.

My Thoughts & Ideas:

•CF Upper Nose Panel (Juans Suggestion)
•CF 89+ Front Bumper (OEM)
•CF 89+ Front Lip
•CF Fog Light Air Ducts
•CF 89+ Grille Area Air Ducts
•CF Rear Bumper (OEM)
•CF Side Skirts (JDM OEM)
•CF Rear Sun Shade (Aerodynamic Louver)
•CF 89+ 3-Piece Spoiler (OEM)
•CF 1-Piece Spoiler (OEM)
•CF Doors (OEM)
•CF Targa Top (Juans Suggestion)

Also note ED or CC will not do Interior parts, I've already asked.
How about a CF sunroof lid and a CF front cowl.

U need to post one at a time, because your just getting non sence, delete this thread and start on stating if people would be interested in either carbon fiber door vent sills or carbon fiber nose piece.and from there move on.

personally I've lost interest in trying to help the masses. No one stays on key or keeps focus. I have a guy in florida that will make one off's for and me alone. Then when people see it they will know I was serious and wish they had kept in track in this thread. Otherwise i feel like trying to do this got me nothing more then a smack in the face.

when it comes to $. You do it yourself and when the company that is doing it starts to be able to offer it to ANYONE, then people will know it is legit. Otherwise it is a waste of diskspace to even start a "wishful" thinking thread. They never ever end up well.

See the countless S2 carbon fiber threads and how much they have actually shipped to the US (handful TOPS). Expecting this place to come in so you can get a cheaper price will ultimately lead to disappointment.

That is exactly why I paid what I paid for the ATI damper when I had it made. But guess what. Thanks to the guys like Duane, IJ., Ron, Sean and a whole slew of other folks that understand what this stuff cost and actually footed the bill at the higher price, the price has dropped to less than 50% of what I paid, but that is GOOD as the part is out there for the rest of the community that wants one without having to do a "group buy".

Do what you need to do and if you feel the need to want to help others out then feel free to come back and show us the work that has been done for you.

In the meantime, this thread is CLOSED.
