Okay everyone already knows the work Juan is putting behind getting CF parts made for our beloved MKIII's. I've been talking with Juan, and have spoken with Extreme Dimensions myself. So long as there is an interests for ED financially, they will keep making parts for us. So this thread is about making even more suggestions to Extreme D & Carbon Creations, but showing them that there is a big enough market for them to make us stuff. I'll kick it off with some of my ideas, and feel free to suggest some of your own, or offer opinions. Please keep it clean and easily understandable so that if and when ED checks the forums to see the interest, that they will see enough $$$ signs to want to go ahead with the production. In addition to the parts Juan is having made for us (CF hood, CF hatch, CF headlamp covers, duraflex fenders) I'll throw out some ideas of my own. Again this is a suggestion and interests thread not a group buy thread. If we get the interests, we can get the parts. Please make sure your suggestions are universal in a sence they can be used on either the pre 89's or the 89+'s, as I don't believe ED or CC will design specialties for both as it's not a feesable thing for a business to do. Anyways here goes.

My Thoughts & Ideas:

•CF Upper Nose Panel (Juans Suggestion)
•CF 89+ Front Bumper (OEM)
•CF 89+ Front Lip
•CF Fog Light Air Ducts
•CF 89+ Grille Area Air Ducts
•CF Rear Bumper (OEM)
•CF Side Skirts (JDM OEM)
•CF Rear Sun Shade (Aerodynamic Louver)
•CF 89+ 3-Piece Spoiler (OEM)
•CF 1-Piece Spoiler (OEM)
•CF Doors (OEM)
•CF Targa Top (Juans Suggestion)

Also note ED or CC will not do Interior parts, I've already asked.

I would definitely be in for:

CF 89+ JDM lip with brake duct holes and matching brake ducting (the ducting doesn't have to be CF)

No pre '89 love for the loss. :(

FAIL

Hey I own an 87. From what I've seen the 89+ models are more popular. I have my doubts for ED making the pre 89 and the 89 stuff. I was just trying to simplify things as I didn't believe they would make both, but again if there is just that much interest in it you never know what they might decide. Let's see how it goes, it's not impossible. Ya know?

#1 thing that every supra owner needs is a lower engine cover, make it of fiberglass (to save on cost) at a fair price and you could sell the crap out of them here.

For me, fiberglass brake duction that fits greddy 2 hole lip. I know far strech but worth a shot :)

What is that plastic piece that looks like a vent on the doors between side mirors. I want that carbon fiber.

intrest?

ZeroDegreeZ

my opinion on this. Everyone SHOWS intrest. But when the time comes to pony up the cash come to pass. Everyone does a Houdini and disappears without a trace. I am sure that Extreme D & Carbon Creations don't want intrest, they want what all companies want when they are testing the market and that is commitment via MONEY.

ATI did it with me (in the order of $900).
RPS did it with me. ($2800)
Flatlander did it with me.($4000+)
Tilton did it with Ron.

In the end. SOMEONE has to fork over money. If no one does, the part does not get made OR worse yet, gets pulled and another "mark" against those cheap ass MKIII owner get notched.

how about something useful? lol i see a lot of 'show' parts on there more so than anything.

widebody front fenders would be nice for a lot of people, hoods with venting, the under engine cover, radiator block off plates. its not like your going to save any weight compared to the OEM bumper, there pretty light as it is. and the hatch would be silly because 90% of the weight is in the glass.

i would do CF hoods to start with, because obvisouly they have to make the molds, and lay the CF, and blah blah blah....

but what i would REALLY like to see is a bolt on, or simple (minor welding) rear difusser in CF of aluminum, or anything! the srt-4 guys have picked up MPG and have a smoother handling car in higher speeds due to the production of these. and with the MK3 being such a fat tard, i wouldnt mind a little more stability.

thats probably the best idea i've seen. Not a lot of design went in to the area below our rear bumper and a rear diffuser (even an understated one) would be great. There are also ample mounting points for it back there.

rear diffuser?

umm not for anything but what exactly will a rear diffusor do to an already super turbulant air flow underneath our non-smoothed undercarriage?

If we had the under carriage of say a Ferrari F340 than i would see a FUNCTIONAL purpose to a rear diffusor but on our cars. All show and nothing else.

isn't the point of the diffuser to reduce the turbulence of the under-car airflow in order to merge it with the airflow over the top of the car?

Its because the 89+ are better :bigthumb::sarcasm:

I would be in for a 89+ one piece wing in carbon forsure!

I think they should work on interior parts, that would sell much more than exterior parts... atleast that's what I think!

Such as: center console, arm rest, vent delete, ect.

it helps smooth out the air flow where its merging with the air from above and around the car. which is why you DONT need the underbody of a ferrari...

and no offense, but i think i saw like 1 'functional' part from that list up there... throw some ideas out, dont just sit here and bash what others say, its nice to have some different opinions, but what do YOU want to see made for our cars?

and FYI, heres a pic of the underbody of an srt-4 i found on google...
http://www.dodgeboy.net/news/neon/pages/underbody_jpg.htm

its CLEARLY not smooth like a ferrari...

and just for grins and giggles, even mustangs use them!
http://www.tamparacing.com/forums/ramsey-family-racing/460351-mustang-rear-diffuser.html

and heres what wiki has to say
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diffuser_%28automotive)

this is the diffuser i was really talking about, only because there design means you can replace just a piece, so its very DD doable.
