Can anyone tell me how to identify what ecu I have when all normal labels have been removed? Are there internal numbers/markings etc? Thanks
I have an 87 na auto car being transformed to a turbo 5 speed an the jdm engine I bought came with a ECU that has all the labels crudely scratched off. Question is, when the labels are gone, is there another way to ID these units? My old na ecu is shaped similar, but I assume ya need a turbo ecu to use with a turbo. I'm a 50 year mechanic, but new to supras and turbos and don't know if these unit s can be modifided/re-chipped or should I just try what I've got and see what happens?Turbo Habanero;1416515 said:what car do you have?
