ECU Main Issue

Hi all, on occasion my car either hesitates to start or does'nt start at all. The previous owner said it did this to him, and he found what it was so he kept a bunch of ECU Mains' in the car.

The issue is i've gone thru all 7 of them, but sometimes I can use the "blown" Mains and the car will start. It's not a problem keeping me from driving my car but I was wondering if anyone here has had a similar problem with the ECU Main. It seems as if the ECU Main isnt the problem if the "blown" ones work but I'm pretty confident in that there is a fault with the ECU Main.

Also theres no telling how hacked up the wire harness is since I found a acient alarm system that was disconnected and a bunch of misc un-identifible wires running to who knows what! Any thing helps, thanks.

Have a multimeter? Know how to use it? Time to start testing. I'd start with looking for any third party additions or former taps locations that connect to that line. Otherwise you're just going to be doing a lot of testing.

Thanks for the advice, I kinda knew there would be some intense testing, I was'nt looking for a quick fix, I want to do it right, the first time!
