Hi all, I have a 1UZ in my 87 Supra and since the 1UZ harness was designed to go down the fire wall to a panel under the carpet there is a lot of excess harness and its making it difficult finding a suitable location while still keeping the glove box usable. As of now I have the top panel removed and I'm running the harness into the glove box. See pic below.

The 1UZ ECU is massive compared to the 7M, and its really taking up a lot of room in the glove box, I know its similar to the 2JZ ECU, so I was wondering what the 2JZ people do with their ECUs.

Thanks.

I had this problem with my 2JZ one - everyone else seemed to fit the ECU in the stock location.
Since i had removed the Air-Con, i made up a smaller pipe that connected the fan to the heater box and this free'd up a whole lot of room under the glovebox!:

I come from a land down under
Surprising amount of room up above the glovebox top cover, I had at one time an M800 MoTeC, a PCS Trans Controller, a 816 MoTeC Expander and a MoTeC G Sensor up there ;)

I made a 4mm Al plate and HookNlooped the components to it then used the Glovebox striker plate screws and the rear glovebox bolt to hold it in place.

Not that exact setup but one of the older ones I did for example>>
