ECU info for a newbie

Hey there,
I was looking to upgrade my injectors to RC 550cc with a ls400 afm for my 87 mkiii, but im am unsure if the stock ECU will be able to handle it or would i have to go aftermarket with the ECU, if so what brand?.. any help would be much appreciated..

stock ecu will do fine, because 550 flow 25% more (approx.) and the lex afm 25% too.

Its a piggy back. Cant tune the stock ecu yet.

Piggy back manipulates what info the ecu sees so you can change certain things. Very limited and cheaper.

Standalone is a full tunable ecu. Need to be tuned by a professional and is a good amount of cash/.

as stated the lex afm is 25% bigger, and the 550cc are also 25% bigger so the ecu still gets the same reading as stock(give or take) for the air fuel mix. there is just now more of it, but the ecu cant see it.

but it never works quite that way, you need the safc to fine tune and corecct to get the a/f ration back to normal, as there other factors that do throw it off slightly off and running to ruch or to lean is bad.

Oh and when you get there, RCTS Canada is still selling the adjustment screw for $100.00. Seems to do the trick! What a rip -off eh?
