Hey, as some of you may know, i recently posted about having a busted fuel pump.. Well that MAY not be the case anymore as my mechanic has instructed me to hold off on purchasing a fuel pump as i may have a bad 1j ecu. Just so i can get myself prepared in case this is the problem, is there any sort of information that i have to know such as repair shops, interchangable ecu's (i.e 1j-2j) etc etc? Can i plug in a tuned ecu into my stock setup? I noticed how there were some tuned ecu's on the f/s section. Also a a/t ecu will not work right? (i would assume so...duh) but you never know!.. LET ME KNOW THANKS!!!

If your car is auto then you can not use a manual ECU. If i were I would just forget the stock ECU and go for standalone or something similar.

OK so i go to unplug my ecu and check if the capacitators are leaking inside.. Didnt see anything at all, looked fine. Then i go to plug the ecu back in, and now the car wont start at all. At least before it would fire and then die. I am completely lost, without a vehicle and running out of ideas. I dont want to go and replace everything possible as it would be a complete waste of money.. Any suggestions at all .... PLEASE!
