The ecu reads oil pressure threw the stock pressure sender....but what does the ecu read and do with it? Is it a big deal to not use the stock sender?

Funny i just asked about this in response to someone post a couple days ago.

Its used for the ISC system to help sense additional loads from current draw and when the engine is cold.

So in otherwords...it's not a huge deal as either way with or without the guage hooked up the ecu will still adjust idle per water temps and electrical loads....
Although it's no excuse...I know many many people who have removed it with zero effects on coldstart idle speeds etc...
My harness is missing the wire for the sender so that's why I ask.

I think youll be alright, it looks as though its only for the ISC circuit so worst case the idle will be a little off.
