2j flows better. And 2js can rev as well as a 1j if it has springs and retainers. Both can achieve 8k

True, but now now your piston speed is immense. Rings and cylinder wear is much more.

True but its been proven that it can be handled. All Im saying is that they are both great platforms and that they should not be viewed as which one is better. It all depends on setups to prove which car will perform better. And when it comes down to same power, power band is gonna prove the winner as 500rpm in redline will not prove much.

Yes they are great platforms totally agree. But there is a but, peak power for the one jay it handles more then the 2j.And that's because of o the the short rods and head design. Which the 2j was piggyback off the 1j design that Yamaha help make and stamp.

sorry to say 1jz are way better then the 2j. yea nice to have forged internals blah blah and a stock block can be a dyno queen handle up to 1000 horses. but hey 500 hp 1j will walk a 1000 hp 2j cause the fucker wont hook! also to mention a 1j Peak Power : 280PS (206 kW) @ 6200rpm
Peak Torque : 37.0 kgm (268 lb ft, 363 Nm) @ 4800rpm 2j■Max Power: 209 @ 5600 (280 hp)
■Torque (nm) 46.0 @ 3600 (338ft/lb )those shorter rods and yahmaha heads is what does the trick for the 1j... meaning it can hold the power better at higher rpms.

What made you feel the need to post in someone else's thread bashing their engine choice?
I'm glad Albert doesn't seem to care but I would be pissed.

You saying the 2jz takes larger cc injectors is kinda retarded because its a larger liter, no shit it has bigger injectors, and is irrelevant cause at this level on e85 were both at the 1000cc+.

And also saying the 2jz has steel shafts is irrelevant cause were not on twins.....

Talking about stock to stock. And I was referring to what was said a few pages back when they were going back n forth about 1j 2j. Just stating how peak power no matter the build the 1j handles it better at peak or high rpms

There's only a few people on here with twins. Once we get the money for a jz a single is very soon after.

Your right 600 rpms don't make a difference I'm wrong.

Not when its redline difference. 1j heads dont flow as well so how can they make more power. more air more power. Also 1j take more boost to make same power as a 2j which in turn "if u had identical setups" the 1j would float valves before cause they rev more and flow less than a 2j...but your right the 1j head will magically deliver a better top end just as reliable...lololol
