looks like a knockoff of the arz kit using lower quality, thinner rotors. if you can justify the $400 additional expense, go for the arz kit (I've got one, the fit and finish are fantastic, not to mention it uses an aluminum rotor hat and 1.38" thick rotor) and support a local vendor.

The ebay Wilwood kit suffers from the same thing as the Nightpager kit - piss poor engineering.

The pads hang over the edge of the rotor.

As for how my set compares to ARZs? It doesn't! I've said that from the get go - if you want track ready, go with Andy's setup. If you want OEM stopping power that should have been on the car from the get go, go with my kit.

after looking on the site, they might actually be worth it... but i would order through the site and not on ebay... at least that way you have something to fall back on if the bracket is "jank" and doesnt fit right...

Proof of this?

The ST185 kit (though not the best setup) doesn't look like there is any overhang.

Close only counts in horseshoes, hand grenades, and nuclear weapons :D

All I've found is Revolution Brakes was formerly Precision Brakes.

Let me put on the shit wading boots and slog through the mess they call a forum over there . :(

Nice moderation. By page two it turns into a shit throwing contest. If I wanted to deal with that, I'd be the guy who cleans out the monkey cage at the Atlanta Zoo...

NashMan points out the problem

One question - do the two pads stacked together equal more than the thickness of the rotor? If so, will the parts that hang over eventually touch each other and prevent the brakes from working when the pads wear down?

Again, brakes are just something I don't mess around with. Perfection is the only thing I'll accept, I like being alive.

That forum is painful to read. Pad overhang is a serious design flaw that seems to be beyond the comprehension of many on the other forum. I can't believe whoever "designed" that kit, and I use the term loosely, would feel ok selling it to the public.

Exactly. I can't help but thing that if they were unable to MEASURE correctly, what else is screwed up in that kit? No way in hell it'd touch my car.

Many will buy it just because it says 'Wilwood" in big letters, though. :3d_frown:
