I have been looking around for an engine to put in my 86 4runner. i bought a blown engine with all the acessorys like wire harness and junk. has any one ever used or heard of any one that used there engines?

there was one other rebuilder on there but it was a basic long block with no timing components or water pump. i would just get a JDM engine but i dont like the fact that i cant look at the engine before i ship the thing. and rebuilding one will cost me upwards of $500 easily.

Looks like a pretty nice shop. I think it would take you a little more than $500 to rebuild. If you just want to just swap in new bearings, rings, new oil pump, yes about that for the basic parts, but what about machining, valve job, etc. ?

BTW the site mentions that that motor is for a Cressida, you would need to swap the oil pan and pump, I'd put a new one in.

yea they sell a supra 7m also, thats just the link that i clicked. its the same price.

part of the problem with the engine i have now is that basicly every surface needs to be machined. cam towers, cams, rods on crank, and a bore job. the cranks rod journals where alreay turned once by the looks of it. so for the price to fix this engine i could buy a shiny long block. well thats what im thinking.

so no ones ever bought any of there engines?

they are local to me and frontierguy just installed a short block from them last weekend. So far so good and he already has a few drags on it as well.

For a basic rebuild, its hard to beat!

no, his supra, The motor posted was 7m. This is my back up plan for the time being until i get the time to piece together a 2j swap. I will be putting one of their short blocks in if/when i blow this one up.

i have a core to give them, im just not sure if the crank is any good. the block needs a bore and head need bearings.
i was thinking of bumping the Tq up on the head bolts before i drop it in. would a port and polish on the head do much for this engine? im in the process of smoothing out the inside of the intake manifold.
