so i bought the Ebay intercooler kit, the HKS knock off one with piping, BOV and Intercooler(obviously). What i am concerned with is that the intercooler that came with is weee. it is longer and has bigger outlets than stock but the measurments are(core length) 22"x6"x3" long and short. Is this going to negatively affect my turbo or motor in any way or is it still an upgrade from the stock piece??

So, is the intercooler's overall volume larger than stock? If yes then it will have a higher cooling capacity.

What you bought sounds to be just about half as large as the big ones people buy. 3" thick is good, 22" length is good, 6" tall is kinda short, but I think it'll do just fine.

lol, the way I think of it, is that's like a civic intercooler :p
Some of you will understand

He is only running 9psi according to his sig. How much intercooler he needs will depend more on how much boost and what turbo. Too big of an intercooler takes longer to cool off, and contributes to lag.

yes it should be fine especially if you have the stock turbo. It is more effective and has alot less pressure drop than your stock one. Even though it is not tall its still alot better than the sotck one.

It will also be a much easier install because the tall one you have to remove or modify your front bumper support

That thing should be perfect for 9psi. I would think it would be good for quite a bit more too, definetely an improvement over stock, and stock can hold quite a bit.

Boso I found myself staring at your icon longer than it took me to type all this AND think. Weeeird. It's like he's looking at me...
