I used an ebay gasket kit. Exhaust gasket does have the sealing rings and I used the head gasket. It's held up for 6k miles so far at 11psi. Guess i'll see how it goes. :dunno:
I have ARP studs and did a retorque after a few heat cycles.

^^ Did the same years back...I actually picked up 3 different sets and used 2 of the HG. I picked tem up for an average of $26 each (8+ years ago). AJ USA was the brand on 2 of 'em and they worked fine.

I did always use ARP headbolts though at 72+ ft/lbs.

If worried, just use another HG. Either way, use some ARPs and you'll be fine. Good luck.

Tanya's car is N/A, the headgaskets are craptastic...

Um, a cheap gasket is a cheap gasket, whether it goes on a turbo car or not. It's still a piece of shit. Stock Toyota headgaskets for the 5M/6M are ot teh suck, but the head torque rating is still weaksauce. It's been fail on all M series engines

I bought a stone gasket set from my machine shop when i had them do the head work. It comes with what you need and doesn't come with what you don't need (unlike most sets) so what you are spending on is what you are actually going to use. Head gasket looked great and as of the same quality as OEM (visually). I used new OEM head bolts and torqued to 72 ft lbs i think it was, and it has held together fine on my 7mge for months now. All the other gaskets including exhaust, egr cooler, throttle body, intake etc are visually identical to OEM and seem to be really good quality.

Forgot to mention, this gasket set is cheaper than felpro or oem

Stone is sourced from OEM IIRC...

The EGR cooler gasket in the Fel-pro and other cheap sets is the typical paper gasket while the OEM one is graphite and can take the heat.

Tanya: Yeah, I know they all suck, but someone said they would be fine on an N/A...your car proves otherwise...
