^Though the car has still has no power past 1st gear :D

If you have the money to rebuild your GE the right way and then start building a gte in parallel, go that route. Or else I would advise agains rebuilding the GE, you'll regret the money spent later (could have invested in a nice gte :)) I know I regret...

7M-GTE will make plenty of power for drifting. Although you need to be thinking about suspension and sway bars to get the body roll down lol.

Do a good Headgasket job even if you don't do a metal Headgasket you can do a Felpro/ARP Stud job and be really reliable. Just take care of the car do regular maintenance.

And the most important is making sure Stage 0 is done be for modding the crap out of the car and turning up the boost.

:) I like to think the 7M can be just as good of a motor as a JZ if taken care of.

it just seems to be the best way to go with the income i have. and i would rather do it my self and knw its mine.

These cars can be a Money Pit bar none, if you don't have a huge budget it's better to stay small and enjoy the car for what it is instead of getting into a bankbuster build and looking at it on stands for the next 5 years :(

And ge's are practically given away. So if you blow one up there is another someone is waiting to toss that you could prolly have for free.
