So i don't think the eagle's are billet from what i've gathered.

Really... I knew the 4340 part was the same... Oh well... I sure hope they can take the beating or else it looks like i'll be doin this all over again...:icon_razz

Actually, the Eagle ISP Hbeam rods are rated for 950hp... So I think I should be fine... Besides, I wont be driving around the street at 800hp, for street. AKA 95% of my driving, they'll be about 600... So should be good for me...

Mark, yur not stupid, yur the MAN! Also bro, like I was saying: HP is HP, whether its a Ford, Mazda or Porche making it... Eagle rods are made teh same for the Ford models as they are for the Toyota models, so it makes no difference...

And Im with you Justin... If I was worried, I wouldnt have gone with them either... I was THIIIIIIIIIIS close to just shot peening and cryo'n my stockers, but for added security, I just went with the Eagles... I feel good about my choice...

Only bad thing I've heard about them is they really need to be checked for big end sizing and roundness out of the box.

Any machine shop assembling a motor should do that anyway... And anyone assembling their own motor should know that and do it anyway, its a safety measure... :icon_bigg

theres horror stories of every product out there. Just people looking to place the blame on something. I personally have not seen anything bad from eagle as far as rods and cranks go. i know people that run both and then just the rods without a problem. trust me if i wasnt confident with eagle i would have ran far away from them.

Very good point... I think you'll get that arguement for every part really...

"What do you guys think about Cometic MHGs?"
OMG! I knew a guy who blew his Cometic mhg with 6psi of boost!
Well I knew a guy that runs 42psi every time he races and has his for 2 years!

OMGzors... :icon_razz

I think the bottom line is, if the parts were THAT bad then they wouldnt be around... Consumers arent stupid... And with the net today, you can't get away with shoddy work... People are able to talk and compare, like we are... And results come in SECONDS as opposed to weeks... So yeah... You just have to make a choice, and feel secure that you made the right one...

I come from a land down under
Please don't take what I posted the wrong way I wasn't slamming the Eagles!

Just pointing out it's something to be aware of and if they're checked and are within spec great they'll be fine!

You'd be surprised at how many people will use them out of the box thinking "these rods are brand new so are perfect"

I had my Pauters checked in every way I could think of just in case!

Think you're going to finish before me:naughty:

I'm using Eagle rods and they are at the bottom of the list of things that I think could go wrong or not quite as planned:aigo:

Well I decided to use them. I will ordering them on friday. My friend who owns a part shop told me that they are good for over 700hp. I think that 800hp would be my limit.
