Hi,
Im doing a 1J swap right now and have a question regarding the EA2 and C1plugs. Im using the diagram from 1JZ.com here, http://www.1jz.com/tech/docs/wiring/EA21989.pdf
and am stuck on the C1 plug. The TSRM shows C1 as the check engine connecter for both the GE and GTE which is not the C1 in the diagram.
Im swapping out from a GE so will need info on the C1 in the GE,
Thanx

Just unplug the JZA70 EA2 from the fuse box and splice the two alternator wires and call it a day.

You do not need to splice C1 to EA2 just take the whole jumper harness off the clip.

I don't have the clip. I found the clip while on vacation last june in So Cal and the person said it would be too much to ship the whole clip to Kuwait not to mention I would have to find my own shipper.
Long story short, I found a shipper the first phone call, the company with the half cut said for me to tell them what I wanted.
1 Engine with crossmember (mine is 87).
2 Trans
3 All wires harness etc with sensors, the Hydro fan and all parts for that.
4 intercooler and piping.

It cost 2800 for the half cut 1000 for shipping and 500 and over 2 weeks to clear custums here with delivery.

What didn't show up was the Fuse box
ECU for the hydro fan
Crossmember for the engine (they sent the one for the trans)
A crushed intercooler
broken engine mounts
the dash (for the tach swap)
The power steering reservoir
so basically Im spending even more for the lack of clip which I would recommend to everyone to get when doing the swap.

SO no fuse box requires splicing the C1 plug. Ill look around for it in the engine bay when I go to the shop doing the swap.

The shop also needs to know how the lines go on the fan, oh never mind on that I was just researching the fan and it turns out they also didn't send the cooler either. Now I have to ship a dual electric over here.

Just waiting for a downpipe from driftmotion. the wiring thats left and now the fan.
