I start my car this morning after i filled up the petrol, and the e-brake lights light up also the rear light indicator (yellow light next to the door indicator) lights up as well. What is wrong with the car? I have checked the brake fluid level, they are at max level, and all the rear lights are working fine. Please help me out!!!! Thank you!

your lamp fail module is broken. replace it. you may find the rear lamp cluster seals have perished and allowed water to get in.
you might get lucky if you remove the lamp fail module(little blue or yellow box by the rear passenger side lamp cluster) and put it in a warm dry place to dry out. i did this and mine works fine now
btw im a uk based member so im not sure if your cars have the module in the same place

Another common cause is if one or more of the bulb sockets are corroded. The corrosion adds resistance and can cause a false trigger of the failure module.
