Well as some of you may remember i when i went to the dyno last time my boost was going haywire and only managed about 220HP at about 5~6lbs of boost. I eventually found the tubes going to the greddy control valve were switched and thats when the fun really started. I went back today finally to find good and bad news.

Results: 257.1RWTQ @4700~4800RPM and 259.51RWHP @5500RPM or so. Believe it or not those numbers are running on only about 7.7PSI on stock ct-26.

Bad part: i'm only getting 7.7 psi at my max power, i hit about 10.5psi to start but simply start to bleed slowly after. After 5K it bleeds at a pretty fast rate only holding about 5 PSI by 6K.

Solution: new turbo, ie 57 trim... hurry up with that 57GT wheel MDC :1zhelp:

conditions: 91 degrees, 36% humidity, 29.61 in-Hg, STD 1.04

Edit: Since some of you got wierded out it seemed w/A/F heres just a couple of today's runs/ Red and Orange are the last run.

holy crap! those a/f's are real scary!

see how the curves are real jagged? thats from the ecu pulling timing. i cant see the corner of the graph to see what smoothing was set to. a lot of places use 5. and if thats what yours is, thats even more scary.

what is your fuel system?

also, do you have the sae numbers?

i am not an expert at all... but doesnt it seem like those numbers are really low for the modifications that you have....?

Yes, he has to be having problems still...

IWantMKIII: I forgot what you said before, do you have a wideband installed? Have you changed many things on your SAFCII? What do you have your adjustable cam gears set to?? Check compression? :dunno:

There has to be a boost leak somewhere...maybe a pinhole in a coupler that is fine at idle but underboost it blows through. With hardpipes and 3" turbo back (hoping a 3" elbow too) your boost should be higher than 7.7lbs with or without a boost controller, should be more like 10-12psi. Try hooking up a manual boost controller or just back to stock to see if that helps.

No leaks...has been gas tested, boost controller set for about 10-11PSI, greddy spec II. Safc II has been tuned...you can see the A/F ratio on the green (?) line. Adjustable cams are set to stock right now since i don't have cams yet. Gain/duty cylce on the spec II has been messed around with but no success, still bleeds to about the same pressure. Only thing that really wrong with it is high idle, about 1000-1100. ECU threw code 1-3 and 4-1 i think, both starter signal related but only appear every once and a while and dissapear

Tried 'back to stock' on my first dyno run. The turbo held an anywhere from 5-7PSI...mostly between 5-6PSI...which could also be another hint. Keep in mind this turbo has almost 170000 miles on it!

You can really see where the power drops at 5500RPM, that is where the turbo really starts to bleed and lose its pressure, notice on the green line, that was my last run. The tuner came and told me he can't do much more...we both agreed its probably time for a new turbo

FYI for all, one of those runs is from my first dyno so A/F and lots willl look bad/funny My a/f was dropping below o2 sensor limit (below 10:1) which is why some of them look funny, someitmes it went above limit. All tuning was done by R/t tuning with a wideband o2 sensor and the dyno of course.

Keep in mind....that was recorded at only 7.7 lbs of boost. Thats under stock boost but with about 60-70 WHP MORE.

Look at the A/F's close to the rev limit :aigo:

the only two lines close to the rev limit spike b/c he cut the power. I have an uncirculated BOV which also won't help. Thankfully though do to the session today my car no longer stalls after any quick drop in the RPM's after i release the gas pedal after accelerating fast (car is in neutral). The two lines above all the A/F is boost and you can see roughly how the turbo just bleeds out after its full boost. It has more of a dramatic slope after 5.5K its just hard to tell by that picture..i took it with my cell phone

The A/F spike at 3.1K, most noteable on the last run (green), i was told is unavoidable with SAFCII as boost kicks in the ECU trys to compensate
